ELEGANTISSIMA

Sea Anemones are relatives of jellies and coral stinging cells which they use to capture prey and protect themselves. Humans do not feel the sting of many anemones because the stinging mechanism is unable to penetrate our thick skin.

Though mainly carnivores, many species of Sea Anemones have tiny organisms living inside them . Dinoflagellate plankton, or green algae, share nourishm ent created from sunlight through photosynthesis with their host Sea Anemone.

Along with sexual reproduction including male and female individuals, Sea Anemones also reproduce asexually through budding, where fragments break off and develop into new individuals.
