RED-TAILED BOA
BOA CONSTRICTOR
Red-tailed Boas are recognized by their primarily tan or grey base color with brown “saddles” along the length of their body.
Females grow to an average of 7-10ft while males only grow to an average of 6-8ft.
Red-tailed Boas are native to Central and South America. They are primarily found in rainforest clearings or edges. However, they are also found in woodlands, grasslands, dry tropical forest, thorn scrub, and semi-desert.
Their diet consists of mostly rodents with the occasional bird, reptile, or amphibian.
